The SmartValve® System Controls combine gas flow control and electronic intermittent pilot sequencing functions into a single unit. This product family offers several different intermittent pilot sequences for a wide range of applications. The specific application of the SmartValve System is the responsibility of the appliance manufacturer. They are directly compatible with the Q3450 or Q3480 Intermittent Pilot burners used with the original controls on the appliance.

I received this Honeywell smart valve I went to install it today  4-28-21 when I open the box found that it appeared to have yellow number 55 Pipe sealant on the inlet an outlet ends  I have pictures of my old valve along side the one I received I also date my replacement parts  l install the gas valve anyway found that it did not start up the fan Inducer motor and it turn not closing air prover switch to start the heating process So I  reinstalled my old gas valve the reason why I was replacing my gas valve in the first place is periodically all by itself the inducer fan motor would start and stop continually so how do I get a working gas valve thanks in advance

I had already looked up the replacement part # on Honeywell's across reference.  They also came up with the same #, good.  Ordered the part arrived  3 days after promised.  Good thing this wasn't an absolute emergency.
